Alexander Central High School - HAVES Program
Closet: closet stocked with clothing, school supplies, and hygiene supplies to help and ACHS student in need of those items.
Prom Closet: accepts donations of prom dresses, tuxedos, and accessories to stock a closet in order to help all ACHS students be able to afford to attend Prom by not needing to pay for such items.
Food Pantry: full time food pantry for ACHS students and their families. Students and parents may receive food by appointment Mon-Fri- 7:30- 4:00. Also available during summer months.
Financial Aid: maintains funds to assist students in paying medical and educational items and activities such as: physical exams, eye glasses, class field trips, uniforms, college textbooks, CNA Licensure fees, attending competition events, graduation and senior fees, etc.
In-Home Crisis Intervention: fund to help students whose families are facing crisis such as: eviction, loss of heating or water. Can also help families acquire essential household furnishings and even transportation.
Free or Reduced School Meals: available to help families with the cost of school meals. The two criteria used for determining whether a household qualifies for benefits are household size and gross income for all adults in household. Households that receive Food Stamp assistance, students who receive Work First Cash Assistance, and foster children qualify for free meals once an application is completed for the current school year.
